The Bride

The Groom

How we met

In the July of 2020, Every Nation Hatfield (the church of both the bride and the groom), held a 6-week orphan care and biblical adoption online course. Both the bride and the groom eagerly signed up to learn more about the Lord’s heart for adoption. It was during this period of 6 weeks, that the bride and groom met for the first time. Unknowingly to the bride, the groom smiled each time the bride had the opportunity to share at the training (this was eagerly noticed by one of the bridesmaids, Luandri, who also attended the training).

A few weeks later, Red frogs, an organization both parties are committedly serving in, hosted a few online games nights. Here again, the bride and groom laid eyes on each other. Little did they know, this would be the start of something new. Soon afterwards, Rebecca receives a follow request from Abraham (which she eagerly accepts) and tries to build up the courage of how to start a conversation with Abraham. All the while, with Abraham in a similar dilemma. Once the first move was made, there was an instant connection and blossom of a relationship began to grow. It was here where dates and the beginning of pursuit sprung. In the December of the same year, the groom officially asked the bride to be his girlfriend. Many adventures (and COVID isolations) met the couple in their dating seasonĀ  – a season of pure delight and joy. Afterwhich, the groom was certain that Rebecca the woman he wanted to marry. On the 16th of December 2021, he asked her, on one knee, if she would do him the greatest privilege of being his wife. A very emotional bride couldn’t have imagined an easier decision in all of her life.

The couple can’t wait for a forever together and can’t wait to celebrate the start of their forever with you on the 2nd of July!
